Dear Red River Métis Citizens,
As we approach the highly anticipated Annual General Assembly (AGA), we’ve prepared this helpful guide with key information to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all.
Designated Seating
This year, we are implementing a designated seating plan to better accommodate our Registered (Local) Delegates. In the past, these Delegates, most of whom travel from outside Winnipeg to attend, have sometimes experienced difficulty finding seats on the main floor due to the high volume of General Delegates and walk-ins.
With record numbers registered this year and seating at a premium, we want to ensure that our Registered Delegates have guaranteed seating on the main floor alongside our esteemed Elders.
General Delegates and Observers will be comfortably accommodated in the Lower Level. Clear signage will be posted throughout the venue to guide you to your designated area.
Registration
Please remember to bring your citizenship card for both initial and daily registration check-in.
For your convenience, there will be two entrances: one for Registered Delegates and another for General Delegates and Observers. Greeters will be present to assist with traffic flow.
Registration Times:
- Thursday, October 17th: 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
- Friday, October 18th: 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM
- Saturday, October 19th: 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM
- Sunday, October 20th: 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM
Elder’s Lounge
The Elder’s Lounge and services are reserved for Registered Elders. If you require assistance from Elder Services, please contact your Regional Coordinator upon arrival.
Nursing Station
A quiet, private space for nursing mothers is available on the second floor.
First Aid
Two medics will be on site throughout the Assembly. The First Aid station is located in the main lobby area.
We hope you find this information helpful in preparing for your participation at the Assembly.
We deeply appreciate your commitment to the Red River Métis Nation and look forward to seeing you at this year’s AGA. Together, we will celebrate our achievements, address important issues, and chart a course for a brighter future. Your voice and presence are vital as we continue to move the Red River Métis agenda forward.
